Answers from UK law, quoted word for word.
Ask a legal question. SKYL finds the provisions that govern it, quotes them exactly and links each one to the official statute book. If it cannot find the law, it tells you instead of guessing.
Open to anyone with a SAIG account — free to start. Licensed by The National Archives to reuse and analyse UK court judgments.
You have a statutory right not to be dismissed unfairly. Whether a dismissal is unfair depends on the reason for it and how it was carried out.
An employee has the right not to be unfairly dismissed by his employer.Employment Rights Act 1996, section 94(1)
How every answer is made
An answer only reaches you after the law behind it has been fetched and checked. Nothing is taken on the AI’s word.
Find the law
Your question is matched to the Acts and sections likely to govern it.
Fetch the text
Each section is fetched from legislation.gov.uk in its current form. A section that doesn’t exist is thrown away.
Answer from it
The answer is written only from the text fetched, with quotes for every point.
Check every quote
Each quote is compared letter for letter with the statute. A point whose quote doesn’t match is removed.
Areas of practice
SKYL answers questions across the core areas of UK law that individuals and businesses meet most often. Every answer is built from the legislation, official guidance and court judgments that govern the question, and each point is quoted and linked to its source.

Some legal work can only be done by an authorised lawyer: speaking for you in court, running a claim on your behalf, preparing and lodging a Land Registry transfer and applying for probate. SKYL doesn’t do those things. It explains each of them, helps you prepare, and tells you what the lawyer or the court will need.
It explains immigration law in general terms. For advice on your own application, use an adviser registered to give immigration advice.
Use it from any app or AI assistant
Building with SAIG Studio? Any app you build there can use SKYL with one line — an “Ask SKYL” box with checked answers, quotes and sources, charged to your SKYL plan and locked to your app’s own address.
Any app can call SKYL over its API and get back the same checked answer: a summary, each point with its quote, and links to the sources. AI assistants such as Claude can connect to it as a tool over MCP. Every answer reports its cost, and spending is capped per key.
